For contributions to engineering entrepreneurship, smartphone user interfaces, and mobile app stores

Outstanding Service & Leadership to IEEE presented to Glenn Friedman

For long-standing service and leadership, and outstanding dedication to the IEEE SF Bay Area Nanotechnology Chapter, plus establishing the “Origin Stories” event series

SCV Section Chair Special Awards presented to:

John Swan
For his contribution in creating the vision and foundation for the SCV Corporate Liaison Program, providing collaboration opportunities between the IEEE SCV Section and chapters and local industry

Wenbo Yin
For excellent management and reporting of Section finances, and exceptional coordination of Section events, and ongoing leadership in the SCV Young Professionals Affinity Group, plus for co-founding the SCV Startup SIG

Saman Sarraf
For managing a quick and smooth transition of the SCV Section Senior Member Elevation process to online to support members needs, and for providing support to the new Region 6 Senior Member Elevation process

Ken Doniger
For his outstanding contributions to the SCV Section, including seamless management of the SCV STEM program budget, guidance to SCV students and young professionals on how to fund activities,  organizing SCV involvement in Science Fairs, and for service on SCV Section Nominating Committees

Brian Zahnstecher
For providing leadership to reinvigorate the IEEE SF Bay Area PELS Chapter, resulting in awards from the SCV Section, Region 6, and the PEL Society for outstanding Chapter performance

Dejan Milojicic
For his contribution in revitalizing the SCV Section Corporate Liaison Program through a series of excellent informative industry presentations, thus promoting connections with industry, and gaining recognition of the SCV Section with a global audience
